Police Watch
Constable Ian Aird has moved on to pastures new and will now only occasionally patrol the town centre. He has been replaced by Constable Adam Potts who, working with Constable Sam Ewart, is determinded to make the town centre a safer place to be. Constables Potts and Ewart can be contacted at Loreburn Street Police Station on 0845 600 5701 or directly at adam.potts@dg.pnn.police.uk or samuel.ewart@dg.pnn.police.uk “Work is ongoing in relation to upgrade of the Town Centre CCTV system at present. Each of the cameras is currently being replaced by a higher resolution dome type camera. In addition a number of new camera sites have been identified and planning is well under way to commission these. It is hoped that this upgrade will assist in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in the town centre.”
