“Dumfries Town Centre has three community Police officers namely Constables Alistair Hope, Adam Potts and Ian Dawes. The officers work closely with the retailers in the town centre in an effort to provide a safe environment for people to work, stay and visit. A large part of their role involves dealing with shoplifters and other acts of anti social behaviour. To assist them in this, the Town Centre Retailers operate a shop exclusion scheme. Any person caught shoplifting within a member store is automatically banned from other participating shops. These retailers are also equipped with radios which are monitored by the CCTV operators to allow a quick response in apprehending suspects. The officers are keen to expand the radio link scheme and any retailer interested in joining should contact Alistair, Adam or Ian for more details.

DAVID COLE INTERIOR DESIGN

Established in 1958 and currently run by Michael and Anne Cole we offer a comprehensive interior design service, focused on the individual requirements, tastes and styles of our clients. This includes the selection and application of wall coverings, fabrics, curtains, poles and curtain tracks, blinds, carpets and furniture. We work in both private and commercial properties and can supply single products or a complete interior scheme, large or small.

Our core belief is that a successful interior design project should greatly increase the lasting pleasure you get from your home or place of business and this is enhanced when our clients find the design process itself both enjoyable and rewarding. Most often we include them throughout the development of their interior scheme and seek their approval of what is planned, but equally we can work independently if required. We provide detailed estimates and agree all budgets prior to commencing any work.

Our showroom and workroom is in Dumfries where we have a large library of samples in both traditional and contemporary styles and also use our knowledge and experience to source particular samples and products that schemes may demand. The companies we work with are all leaders in their field, acknowledged for the high quality and the exceptional design of their products.

We can visit your home or business to discuss your requirements and survey the project then we prepare proposals which we present to you. These are then refined to take account of your specific preferences to achieve your ideal scheme. We manage the manufacture and assembly of the finished products and offer a full installation service.
