Constable Ian Aird has moved on to pastures new and will now only occasionally patrol the town centre. He has been replaced by Constable Adam Potts who, working with Constable Sam Ewart, is determinded to make the town centre a safer place to be. Each of the cameras is currently being replaced by a higher resolution dome type camera. In addition a number of new camera sites have been identified and planning is well under way to commission these. It is hoped that this upgrade will assist in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour in the town centre.” |
